Become a Shining Star

Ticket sales cover only part of GMCLA’s expenses. Neither our artistic nor our youth education programming would be possible without our shining stars!

Click on an option below to contribute to our work and join our Shining Stars. If you are making a gift of $1,200 or greater, scroll to the Conductors Circle section, or contact the GMCLA office, at (424) 239-6506.

We would like to thank our Shining Stars! With your support we produce three show-stopping concerts per season, have reached over  70,000 teenagers with our Youth Outreach Programs, and are beginning to offer full term music education to youth in schools where no other opportunities exist to study choral music.

Thank you for including GMCLA in your giving. Community members like yourself make our work possible.

Shining Star Giving Levels and Benefits

Brilliant Stars – $1,000-$1,200

A gift at this level allows 25 members of under-served communities to attend a GMCLA performance for free.

Radiant Stars – $500-$999

A gift at this level provides bus transportation for teenagers to and from a GMCLA season concert. More than two thirds of teenagers who attend report never having seen a musical performance in a professional venue before.

Luminous Stars – $250-$499

A gift at this level allows us to hire a composer to create a new song arrangement for one of our season concerts. Arrangements commissioned by GMCLA are used by other choruses nationally and internationally.

Rising Stars – $100-$249

Gifts at this level help us cover all of the basics needed to do all that we do, from photocopying music for singing members and youth participants in our educational programs to covering the necessary costs of office equipment and software.

Thank you to all our generous Conductors Circle members and Sponsors!

Our members sing not only to entertain, but to help bring about a world free from homophobia and all other forms of discrimination. With your gift, you join us in this important work. Ticket sales from GMCLA performances provide only 20% of the funding needed to do all that we do – it is only because of contributions from community members like yourself that we are able to do our part to build a better world.

Your ongoing support is critical, and we cannot thank you enough.

The Eternal Star Society

Our Eternal Stars are individuals who have named GMCLA as a beneficiary in their will, trust, or retirement account. If you decide to make such a bequest, please contact our Office Manager at (424) 239-6506 or tim@gmcla.org so that we can share our appreciation now. Donors who pledge to make a planned gift will be honored and featured in our Eternal Star Society (unless you prefer to remain anonymous).
