As part of its Mission, GMCLA extends its reach beyond concert performances and into the community in three important ways; through the Alive Music Project, Arts for Incarcerated Youth Network, and the it gets better Tour.

Reaching over 50,000 students in Southern California,  AMP is our in-school anti-bullying program of choral performances, music education, and colorful glimpses into the lives of our diverse singers.

The Arts for Incarcerated Youth Network

Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles is expanding AMP to work with incarcerated youth in Los Angeles County’s juvenile correctional system as a member of The Arts for Incarcerated Youth Network (AIYN). We join an interdisciplinary collaboration of outstanding organizations providing exceptional arts programming to build resiliency and wellness, eliminate recidivism, & transform the juvenile justice system.

Serving more than 20 communities and 40,000 people across the country,  IGB is our cutting edge tour which brings out the best in the human spirit and dares to transform communities across the country, one week at a time.
